Job summary

Aramark Canada is seeking a Seasonal Hourly Catering Lead in Ottawa to join our dynamic catering team. You will supervise banquet and event service, guide staff, and ensure adherence to Aramark standards across multiple locations.

Responsibilities include coordinating event setups, teardowns, and flawless service delivery while maintaining safety and quality. The role requires strong guest service, VIP handling, and flexibility for a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1-year supervisory experience required.
• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions in English.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication & organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain emotional control in high-stress situations.
• Excellent guest service and VIP client management.
• Well-groomed and professional attire per Aramark standards.
• SMART SERVE certification required.
• Knowledge of Micros POS and Eigen payment Systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute banquet and catering events with direction from Catering Manager.
• Provide hands-on guidance to the catering team with positive motivation.
• Monitor and ensure service complies with Aramark policies and Health & Safety standards.
• Oversee and assist in all event set-ups and teardowns.
• Assist in delivering events and hospitality across multiple locations per Banquet Event Orders.
• Maintain serving schedules and ensure timely delivery and service of food.
• Ensure tables, buffets, bars and service areas are clean and set to standard.
• Perform supervisory tasks and ensure opening/closing duties are followed.
