Job summary

Aramark Canada is seeking a full-time Catering Services Supervisor to join Carleton University campus operations. Reporting to the Catering Manager, you will coordinate daily catering requirements and events, and oversee set-up for conferences and groups.

You will supervise staff, ensure quality control, train team members on Aramark standards, and maintain safe, organized catering spaces. A strong service mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years catering experience/background.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Strong organizational and staff supervision skills.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate catering functions and events for internal and external clients.
• Ensure food and service meet quality standards.
• Oversee execution of events from start to finish.
• Supervise staff, including agency staff when needed.
• Conduct pre-shift rallies and briefings.
• Provide clear staff instructions and ensure timely task completion.
• Maintain courteous service at all times.

Reporting to the Catering Manager, the Catering Services Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily catering requirements/events and set up for events and conference groups on campus.

About The Job

• Coordinate catering functions and special events for internal and external clients/groups
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
• Responsible for the execution of the function/event from beginning to end
• Supervise staff, including agency staff if required
• Conduct pre-shift rally/meetings
• Provide clear instructions to staff; ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner and according to customer expectations
• Assure quality, courteous service is provided to customers at all times
• In conjunction with the Assistant Manager, train staff on job duties and Aramark catering standards
• Operate automobiles, vans and light trucks to deliver and pick up food items, while ensuring safety standards are continually practiced and adhered to
• Ensure catering room is kept in an organized and clean fashion
• Ensure adherence to all of Aramark Policies and Procedures
• May perform other job duties as required

About You

• Minimum 2 years catering experience/background
• Perform well under pressure; manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective team management experience
• Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to lift 50lbs and push/pull 100lbs
• Smart Serve Certification
• Valid Driver?s License
• Drivers Abstract will be requested
