Job summary

Staples Canada is seeking a Category Sales Specialist to grow Mid-Market business beyond traditional office supplies. You will generate new net accounts, collaborate with the Mid Market Sales team, and build subject-matter expertise to drive growth in assigned Growth Categories within the region.

You will lead implementations, coordinate logistics, and manage post-sale support while leveraging Salesforce.com and CRM tools to track progress and opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of demonstrated success in new business development including cold calling and leading discovery meetings.

Responsibilities

• Consistently achieve revenue and gross margin targets through proactive selling of Growth Category supplies/services.
• Develop high-value relationships with key contacts in existing accounts to grow sales.
• Research, qualify, negotiate and present category solutions to acquire new business.
• Prospect and pursue new non-category opportunities for all brands in the territory.
• Lead onboarding of new business, including logistics, timelines, and post-sale support.
