Zusammenfassung

Intact Financial Corporation is seeking a Casualty Claims Advisor in Canada’s Specialty Lines Transportation and Marine team. You will investigate and resolve complex bodily injury claims across Canada and the United States, supporting a diverse client portfolio.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage high-value claims in transportation, municipal and entertainment sectors, and mentor teammates in a fast-paced, inclusive environment.

Qualifikationen

• Experience handling Ontario and Atlantic tort and litigation claims.
• 3–5 years in Auto Casualty claims handling.
• Knowledge of auto insurance legislation across jurisdictions.
• Strong analytical, organized, detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
• Commercial casualty and/or marine claims experience is an asset.
• Willingness to obtain provincial adjusting licenses.
• CIP designation is a strong asset.
• Bilingual in English and French is an asset.

Aufgaben

• Investigate, analyze, evaluate, quantify and report on complex Bodily Injury files.
• Interpret policy wording to determine coverage and entitlements.
• Collect reports and statements to determine liability and coverage.
• Negotiate settlements within authority, attend courts, mediations and meetings.
• Manage losses across Canada and the USA.
• Engage with high-value transportation, municipal and entertainment sectors.
• Collaborate with the Facility Association and complete semi-annual reports.
• Mentor teammates and share technical knowledge.
• Stay current on insurance case law and regulatory changes.
• Liaise with claimants, defence and plaintiff counsels to settle timely.
