Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation is seeking a Casualty Claims Advisor to help customers stay on track after incidents. This role is part of the Specialty Lines Transportation and Marine team, handling claims across Canada and the United States.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate, evaluate and resolve complex third-party bodily injury claims, including high-value cases in transportation and entertainment sectors. Strong negotiation and critical thinking are essential.

Qualifications

• Ontario & Atlantic tort and litigation claims handling expertise is required; 3–5 years handling Auto Casual.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, evaluate, quantify and report on Bodily Injury files.
• Analyze and interpret policy wording to determine coverage and entitlements.
• Collect reports and statements to determine liability and coverage.
• Negotiate settlements within established authority, attend court proceedings and mediations.
• Manage losses across Canada and USA.
• Work with high-value customers in transportation, municipality and entertainment sectors.
• Mentor teammates and share expertise on the team.
• Stay up-to-date on case law and regulatory changes.
• Communicate timely and respectfully with claimants, lawyers and insurers.
