Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC including applicable certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides speech language assessment and diagnoses for patients.
• Develops and implements evidence-based treatment plans.
• Educates patients and caregivers about self-management.
• Collaborates with the interprofessional care team to plan patient care.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions and modifies as necessary.

Skills

Knowledge of speech language pathology theory and practice

Effective communication skills

Ability to teach and provide effective consultation

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Knowledge of communication and dysphagia tests

Education

Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
