Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Casual Security Guard in Markham, Ontario. You will monitor security systems, patrol premises, control access, and document incidents to support a safe environment across multiple locations. A valid Ontario license and first aid certification are required.

We offer full-time and part-time roles with flexible shifts, opportunities for career growth, and training through GardaWorld Academy. Uniforms are provided at no cost.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid Ontario security license.
• WSIB approved first aid certification - required.
• Minimum high school diploma.
• Diploma in Police Foundations a strong asset
• Minimum 1 year of experience working as a security guard
• Strong report writing skills
• Strong proficiency with technology

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and checkvisitoridentification
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escal;te in environments such as security operation centres , call centres, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.
