Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard in Thunder Bay, Ontario. This role focuses on spotting threats, monitoring CCTV and security systems, and conducting patrols to ensure premises safety. You will also document incidents with precise reporting and assist in access control.

The position offers flexible shifts, opportunities for growth, and training through GardaWorld Academy. Authorized Canada work status and a valid security license are required.

Qualifications

• First aid certification is required.
• Strong report writing skills are essential.
• Good eyesight and the ability to maintain focus is important.
• Proficiency with technology and security systems is expected.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Document events and incidents with detailed reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure premises safety.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitor IDs.
• Analyze systems to identify vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement in emergencies.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalation in environments such as security operation centres , call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.
