Interior Health Authority in Williams Lake, BC, is seeking a Casual Respiratory Services Clerk for the Rehabilitation Department. You will provide essential administrative support, manage outpatient scheduling, and assist with patient flow in a fast-paced team environment.

The role requires flexibility, short-notice call-ins, and a focus on accurate data entry, reception duties, and coordination of clinical documents. Opportunities exist for growth and training within IH.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and book outpatient appointments and manage appointment information.
• Obtain patients’ charts, medical reports, lab results and x‑rays.
• Greet and direct patients; answer calls and relay messages.
• Data entry for clinical registries and databases.
• Generate requisitions for patient care and transfer arrangements.
• Type policy documents and correspondence using computer tools.
• Maintain filing systems and records; transfer records as required.
• Arrange meetings, book rooms and circulate notices/minutes.
• Process invoices and payments after verification.
• Order office supplies and handle mail.
• Use database systems to extract, compile and report statistics.
• Maintain timekeeping records and payroll data entry.
• Assist with quality improvement and orient new staff.
• Perform other related duties.
