Job summary

The District of Saanich is seeking Recreation Receptionists for Gordon Head Recreation Centre. This role involves cashiering, clerical work, and handling program registrations with strong public-facing customer service skills.

Successful candidates will work varying shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends, with testing as part of the process. A CUPE Local 2011 position offering hourly pay is provided.

Qualifications

• Six months of public-facing reception counter experience with cash handling in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with computerized registrations and processing registrations.
• Recreation Centre background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle cashiering and clerical tasks at the recreation centre.
• Assist with program registrations and inquiries.
• Answer telephone and counter inquiries; maintain filing and keyboarding.
