Qualifications

• University degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
• Current member of Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists and/or Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists
• Excellent professional judgment, conflict resolution and interpersonal communication with patients, families, team members, students and community partners
• Competence in evidence-based occupational therapy practice and outcome measures
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable, flexible, creative, self-directed professional able to work with inter-disciplinary team and families/community partners
• Available for a 7-day rotation and site rotation
• Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
• Advocates Brightshores’ values and patient safety awareness
• Comply with health and safety policies and maintain a safe environment

Responsibilities

• Facilitates care and rehabilitation of patients with cognitive, emotional and physical impairments by assessing and administering evidence-based Occupational Therapy to achieve optimal health outcomes.
