Job summary

Brightshores Health System in Owen Sound seeks an Occupational Therapist to support the Community Stroke Rehabilitation Team. You will assess and treat referred stroke clients with a focus on cognition, perception, and community integration to promote independence and safe home activities.

You will collaborate with an interprofessional team, provide education to clients, caregivers, and providers, and contribute to innovative rehabilitation services across Grey Bruce.

Qualifications

• University degree in Occupational Therapy and current licensure in Ontario.
• Clinical experience with stroke and knowledge of best practices.
• Experience working in community and inter-professional settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to referred stroke clients with focus on cognition, perception, and community integration.
• Promote independence and safe home activities for clients.
• Educate service providers, caregivers and families about stroke rehabilitation.
