Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Deer Ridge, AB is seeking an Early Childhood Educator for a casual/supply/substitute role. You will work with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children and deliver a BrightPath curriculum to support development.

Requirements include ECE Level 1 Certification or B.Ed./Equivalent, First Aid & CPR, and current immunizations. Benefits include a childcare discount and a comprehensive benefits package. No evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• ECE Level 1 Certification or B.Ed./Equivalent is required.
• Provinces requirements for childcare employment must be met.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath's curriculum to support children's development.
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment for children.
• Assessing abilities, interests, and needs and discussing progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development sessions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath's curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
