Job summary

BrightPath Kids is hiring an Early Childhood Educator for the Deer Ridge, AB centre. The role is casual/supply/substitute with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour plus a government wage enhancement on top of the hourly rate.

You will work with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children, implementing BrightPath’s curriculum and supporting development while ensuring safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• Requires Early Childhood Education certification or equivalency.
• Must meet province childcare employment requirements.
• Current First Aid and infant CPR.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program aligned with BrightPath’s curriculum to support children's development.
• Maintain a safe, clean classroom environment and protect children's well-being.
• Assess children's abilities and discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Collaborate with co-workers, management and families; attend staff meetings and PD sessions.
• Participate in maintaining organization of classroom materials; perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
