BrightPath Kids in Hermitage, AB is seeking an Early Childhood Educator. You will work alongside teachers and families to provide a nurturing home-away-from-home setting for children, implementing BrightPath’s curriculum to support development and well-being.

Responsibilities include collaborating with staff and families, maintaining a safe environment, and participating in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• ECE Level 1 Certification or equivalent
• Must meet provincial childcare requirements
• Current Standard First Aid and Infant CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment per local health requirements

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement a program aligned with BrightPath curriculum to support child development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.
• Assess children's abilities, interests, and needs; discuss progress with families and staff.
• Collaborate with coworkers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as needed.
• Assist with classroom materials organization and upkeep.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Early Childhood Education - Level 1 Certification OR B.Ed./Equivalent
