Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Calgary is seeking an Early Childhood Educator - Level 1, 2 or 3 to partner with teachers and families, creating a warm, home-like environment for children in our care.

The role involves developing and implementing a BrightPath curriculum-aligned program, ensuring safety and cleanliness, assessing child progress, and communicating with families. You will collaborate with staff, attend meetings, and pursue ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• ECE Certification (Level 1/2/3) or B.Ed./Equivalent.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports children’s development.
• Maintain an environment that protects children’s well-being.
• Assess abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator - Level 1, 2 or 3, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
