DHL Express has a casual Courier Driver opening in Lachine, QC, paying $20.23/hour with increases set by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. This is a casual position with no fixed schedule; shift availability is required between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.

The role combines delivery and warehouse duties: driving a van on assigned routes, handling parcels up to 70 lbs, and supporting freight processing and sorting at the Lachine facility.

Responsibilities

• Drive a van to complete assigned deliveries and pick-ups as directed by the shift Supervisor
• Lift and carry parcels up to 70 lbs per piece throughout the shift
• Scan and process freight according to agreed procedures and Security Policies
• Sort inbound material accurately, meeting deadlines
• Move freight within the warehouse area as required
• Assist the Tracing Department with thorough warehouse checks for missorts, on-hands, and similar issues
• Interact with customers directly and over the phone
• Prepare accurate reports and participate in warehouse organization and clean-up
• Meet security requirements and help maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 driver's licence and clean driving record (required)
• Bilingual French and English (required; evidence of proficiency needed at hiring)
• High school diploma or equivalence (required)
• Broad general working knowledge of warehouse functions
• Good knowledge of MS Office; comfortable Excel user
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure
• Physical ability to lift and handle bulky, heavy, awkward shipments and stand for long periods
• Ability to interact with customers over phone and in person
• Minimum one year of warehouse or customer service experience (asset)
• Understanding of First Choice Programs and Global SOP (asset)
