Job summary

DHL Express in Montreal's Lachine location is seeking a Warehouse Associate (Commis d'entrepôt Export) to support shipments and customer service. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 17:00-21:00, with a wage of $19.70/hour and increases per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

You will scan waybills, handle parcels, prepare labels, ensure proper packaging and paperwork, and comply with safety rules. Responsibilities include customs process awareness for imports/exports, coordinating transfers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalence.
• Fluently bilingual in French and English per Quebec requirements.
• Minimum one year warehouse or customer service experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Ability to obtain RAIC, forklift certification, Airside Training, SABLE, AVOP and X-ray Certification.

Responsibilities

• Use scanners to scan all waybills and track shipments.
• Handle parcels and shipments and participate in sort operations.
• Prepare shipment labels and ensure proper packaging and paperwork.
• Comply with collective agreement and health and safety rules.
• Understand customs processes for imports/exports.
• Coordinate shipment transfers with Service Centre Operations.
• Provide outstanding bilingual customer service in English and French.
• Interact respectfully with team members.

Job description

DHL Express has an opening for a Warehouse Associate (Commis d'entrepôt Export) at our Lachine, QC location. You will support the business by accurately and efficiently managing shipments and packages to serve our customers' needs.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 17:00-21:00

Wage: $19.70/hour, with increases as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)

Responsibilities

• Use scanners (handheld, wrist, wand) to scan all waybills
• Handling of parcels and shipments
• Actively participate in Sort Operations
• Interact effectively and respectfully with other team members
• Prepare shipment labels and ensure proper packaging and paperwork are compliant to ship items
• Comply with the collective agreement
• Understanding of Customs Processes in preparation of Import/Export declarations
• Coordinate shipment transfers by communicating with Service Centre Operations
• Demonstrate exemplary behavior at all times, promote respect in the workplace and follow all required health and safety measures
• Provide outstanding bilingual customer service in English and French
• Any other task assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalence
• Must be fluently bilingual (French and English) - mandatory per Quebec's Bill 96
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Able to lift to 70 lbs and handle bulky, heavy, awkward shipments
• Able to stand for long periods of time and work outdoors for extended periods
• Has or is able to obtain a Forklift certification
• Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) as per Transport Canada Standards
• Ability to obtain Airside Training, SABLE certification, AVOP, and X-ray Certification
• Minimum one year warehouse or customer service experience
