Job summary

Hard Rock Ottawa Hotel & Casino is seeking a part-time Cook in Ottawa, Ontario. The role supports daily food service through preparation, cooking and presentation according to quality and safety standards.

You will work with culinary and service teams to deliver a great guest experience while ensuring health and safety compliance. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years cooking experience, High school diploma or equivalent, and a Safe Food Handling certificate, with clear English

Qualifications

High school or equivalent education required.
Minimum of 2-year cooking experience.
Safe Food Handling certificate.
Standalone restaurant experience.
Ability to communicate clearly and speak, read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

Prepare foods, including washing, peeling and slicing.
Clean work areas and store deliveries properly.
Maintain knowledge of food products, sanitation standards and policies, applying culinary techniques.
Operate, maintain and clean equipment like fryer, broiler, stove and steamer.
Label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation to reduce waste.
Work as a team to meet guest expectations and company standards.
Perform duties in line with policies and guidelines; take on additional tasks as needed.
Live the Brand in daily duties.
Support efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
