Job summary

Red Shores Race Track & Casino in Charlottetown, PEI, seeks a detail-oriented cashier supervisor to control cash and paper transactions with efficiency and accuracy.

You will exchange currency, record and reconcile daily transactions, and ensure adherence to internal controls while delivering the highest level of guest service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The role requires strong math skills, integrity, and the ability to work with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience in a related field.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
• Cash handling experience and mental math.
• Computer skills including Excel, Casino Management (Front Cage) and Windows.
• Ability to work in a physically-demanding, high-volume and fast-paced environment.
• Bilingualism is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet patrons and assist with inquiries, tickets, payments, and more.
• Adhere to department and Internal Controls Manual.
• Promote guest experience with integrity and respect to guests and co-workers.
• Maintain confidentiality of guests.
• Understand promotions and coupons/vouchers for Red Shores discounts.
• Handle pari-mutuel wagering transactions; sell tickets, redeem winnings, and cancel wagers.
• Create, issue and balance floats from all departments.
• Data entry and recording of transactions for daily audit.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
