Job summary

Canadian Tire Stores is seeking a Cashier Manager to lead the checkout and customer service areas, ensuring efficient store operations and friendly staff. Reporting to store leadership, you will drive customer satisfaction and retail execution that meets performance goals.

Candidates should have supervisory or managerial retail experience, strong communication skills and the ability to train and motivate a diverse team across shifts and busy periods.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or managerial experience in a retail setting.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and approachability with customers and staff.
• Comfort with standing for long periods and handling physical demands.
• Proven ability to plan, organize and lead departmental activities.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture of excellent customer service.
• Ensure efficient customer flow at the front of the store.
• Maintain department presentation to meet customer expectations.
• Plan and manage daily/weekly departmental activities and objectives.
• Train, supervise, coach, motivate and support team members.
• Provide feedback and recognize achievements.
• Assist cashiers and customer service representatives as needed.
• Prepare work schedules within budget guidelines.
• Assist with opening/closing responsibilities and onboarding new staff.
• Resolve issues while ensuring customer and employee satisfaction.
• Ensure Health and Safety regulations compliance.
