Job summary

The McMurray Group, operating A&W Restaurants across Western Canada, is seeking a friendly Cashier to greet guests, take orders, and process payments. This role offers flexible hours and a supportive team environment.

As part of the A&W team, you’ll handle POS transactions, assist with food service, and help maintain a clean, welcoming dining area while following safety standards and delivering great guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Guest Service & Cash Handling: take orders, greet guests, ensure accurate orders.
• Food Service Support: assist with preparing and serving food and drinks.

Duties & Responsibilities

Guest Service & Cash Handling

• Take orders and handle payments using our POS system
• Greet guests and answer menu questions
• Ensure every order is accurate and delivered with a smile

Food Service Support

• Assist teammates with preparing and serving food and drinks
• Help keep service running smoothly during busy periods

Cleanliness & Operations

• Restock fridges, cupboards, and workstations
• Keep dining areas clean, organized, and guest‑ready
• Assist with dining room, restroom, and exterior cleanliness to maintain a positive guest experience
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards

Teamwork

• Support your team and contribute to a positive work environment
• Jump in where needed to help the shift run smoothly
