Job summary

Farm Boy in Ontario is hiring a Store Team Member to deliver warm, friendly service, assist customers, process transactions, and keep the shopping experience seamless.

You will learn product codes, share product knowledge, handle cash with accuracy, and help with store operations, including phone inquiries.

Smart Serve certification may be required for alcohol locations, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected; bilingual English/French a plus.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for delivering engaging customer service.
• Retail experience is an asset; an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• Smart Serve certification (or willingness to obtain) for alcohol locations.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and pride in delivering quality results and maintaining cleanliness.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Strong mathematical ability with accuracy in processing transactions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service that reflects Farm Boy’s commitment to the best fresh shopping experience.
• Welcome, greet, and assist customers while processing purchases efficiently and accurately, including scanning items, bagging orders, and collecting tenders.
• Share knowledge and passion for Farm Boy products while assisting customers with questions and product information.
• Learn and apply product codes quickly and accurately to ensure timely checkout service.
• Handle all cash and tender transactions responsibly, including balancing tills and maintaining payment accuracy.
• Support store operations by answering and directing incoming phone calls as needed.
• Assist with the safe handling and sale of alcohol at applicable locations (Smart Serve certification required or willingness to obtain).
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work, storage, and front-of-store areas through general housekeeping duties.
• Follow all corporate policies and procedures, with a strong focus on Health & Safety, Food Safety, and proper equipment use.
• Support the team with additional duties on a periodic basis.
