Job summary

Jericho Tennis Club in Vancouver is seeking a Cashier for the Food & Beverage department to ensure a seamless dining and ordering experience for members and guests. The role is front-facing, handling transactions and upholding club standards in a dynamic environment.

Shifts are Tue–Sat, day/evening, with a focus on accuracy, courtesy, and teamwork. Certifications in Food Safety and Serving It Right are required or current, and physical ability to stand for long periods is expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer focus and orientation.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a restaurant or dining environment.
• Cash handling knowledge or ability to learn.
• Food safe certified, up to date, and valid.
• Serving It Right certified, up to date, and valid.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, prompt and professional attention to members and guests.
• Process multiple cash transactions quickly and accurately.
• Maintain a clean and presentable workstation at all times.
• Ensure members follow club and dining area rules.
• Be front-facing to members and represent the Food & Beverage team.

JobType: Regular FT (30-40 hours weekly)

Salary Range: $22.40 per hour

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturdayday/evenings

During your shifts, you will ensure our members enjoy their dining andfood ordering experience while at the Club. In this role you will be frontfacing to our members and representing the Food and Beverage team in ourClubhouse. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth and seamless memberexperience at our facility.

ESSENTIALDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Show commitment to providingan exceptional club experience to all members, aligned with Jericho Tennis Clubvalues.

Ensure that all Members& guests receive courteous, prompt & professional attention to theirneeds.

Processing multipletransactions for our food and beverage team in a quick and accurate manner

Maintain a clean andpresentable workstation at all times, in line with Club standards.

Ensure Club members arefollowing Club and dining area rules

Accurately process cashtransactions and maintain a balanced cash register during busy times.

Deep knowledge of the Club’smenu offerings for both food and drink

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Excellent customer focus and orientation

1 to 2 years’ experience in a restaurant or diningenvironment

Team player with a positive attitude and growth mindset

Knowledge of, or ability to learn cash handling bestpractices

Flexible availability to workdays, evenings, and weekends

Ability to work for several hours walking, and standing insummer conditions, able to lift 50 pounds.

Food safe certified, up to date, and valid

Serving it Right certified, up to date, and valid
