Job summary

The Boulevard Club is seeking a Restaurant Assistant Server for a permanent part-time role in Toronto. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will provide attentive service to Members and guests, taking orders, coordinating with kitchen and service teams, and delivering an enjoyable dining experience according to club standards.

Hourly wage range: $18.25 – $19.25, based on experience. Availability includes a minimum of three days per week, with at least two weekend days and one weekday.

Qualifications

• Smart Serve Certification is required to work in hospitality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Willingness to learn and take direction in a team environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet Members and guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
• Provide attentive and personalized food and beverage service.
• Present menus, explain daily features, and make recommendations.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and in line with service standards.
• Monitor tables and respond promptly to requests.
• Ensure order accuracy and Member satisfaction.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and service team for timely service.
• Process receipts and payments according to club procedures.
• Complete opening, closing, and side duties, including maintaining stations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and stations.
• Follow responsible alcohol service, safety, sanitation, and club policies.
• Address Member concerns professionally and escalate issues when needed.
• Deliver courteous, attentive, and professional service at all times.

Job Overview

This is a permanent part-time position. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Restaurant Server supports daily dining operations by providing attentive and professional food and beverage service to Members and guests. The Server is responsible for taking and delivering orders, anticipating Member needs, coordinating with the kitchen and service team, and ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and enjoyable dining experience in accordance with the Club’s service standards.

Availability Requirement: M ust be available to work a minimum of three days per week, including at least two weekend days/shifts and one weekday . Weekend availability is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet Members and guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
• Provide attentive and personalized food and beverage service in accordance with Club service standards
• Present menus, explain daily features, and provide recommendations on food and beverage selections
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system
• Serve food and beverages promptly, professionally, and according to established service standards
• Monitor tables throughout service and respond promptly to Member and guest requests
• Ensure order accuracy, appropriate presentation, and Member satisfaction throughout the dining experience
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and service team members to ensure efficient and timely service
• Process receipts and payments accurately in accordance with Club procedures
• Complete opening, closing, and assigned side duties, including preparing and maintaining service stations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, dining areas, and service stations
• Follow all responsible alcohol service, health, safety, sanitation, and Club policies
• Address Member concerns professionally and elevate service issues to leadership when appropriate
• Deliver courteous, attentive, and professional service to Members and guests at all times

Qualifications

Friendly, reliable, and service-oriented individual

Previous hospitality or customer service experience is an asset

• Smart Serve Certification – required

Willingness to learn and take direction in a team environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
