Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is hiring a full-time Cashier in Nanaimo, BC. You will greet customers, process payments, and provide a legendary shopping experience while promoting Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s programs.

Role requires accuracy with POS and SAP systems, attention to policy details, and great problem-solving skills. Starting pay ranges from CAD 18.25 to CAD 20.25 per hour with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations.
• Ability to use good judgment and logic.
• Experience in outdoor lifestyle is a plus.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s products is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
• Process customer payments using debit, credit, gift cards, and cash.
• Utilize POS and SAP systems to complete transactions accurately and quickly.
• Assist in protecting assets by following procedures and policies.
• Open and close duties when necessary; maintain organized cash wraps and counters.
• Support store operations in other areas as needed.
