Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Lévis, QC is seeking a friendly cashier to welcome customers and support daily store operations. You will punch and scan merchandise, verify prices, handle cash and debit, and assist with deposits while maintaining accuracy and courtesy on the sales floor.

The role is daytime and weekdays, with a 30–39 hour work week. A reliable team player who is fast, accurate, and personable will thrive in our busy, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash in a retail environment.
• Experience in a similar cashier position.

Responsibilities

• Punch and scan merchandise as selected by the customer.
• Ensure price accuracy and perform cancellations per standards.
• Handle cash, debit, and cheques and make deposits per policy.
• Balance cash drawer and meet productivity standards.

What might a typical day look like?

As a cashier, you will :

• punch and/or scan merchandise selected by the customer;
• ensure accuracy of prices punched/scanned and make cancellations according to established standards;
• handle cash and media (debit cards, cheques, etc.) and make deposits according to established policies;
• ensure the balance of the cash register and respect the productivity standards (sales/hours, punching/minute)
