Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC is seeking a friendly cashier to join our store team. The role involves scanning merchandise, verifying prices, handling cash and card payments, and providing quick, accurate service during day shifts.

You will work 25–35 hours per week with day shifts and opportunities for skill development and advancement. Availability anytime is noted; we value teamwork and flexibility in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with cashier duties and cash handling.
• Familiarity with a cash register system and POS operations.
• Ability to verify prices and process payments accurately.

Responsibilities

• Punch and/or scan merchandise selected by the customer.
• Ensure accuracy of prices punched/scanned and make cancellations according to established standards.
• Handle cash and media (debit cards, cheques, etc.) and make deposits according to established policies.
• Ensure the balance of the cash register and respect the productivity standards (sales/hours, punching/minute).
