Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Quebec is seeking a cashier for a part-time role with 30–39 hours per week. You will punch or scan items, handle cash and payments, and ensure accurate pricing while maintaining balance and efficiency. The position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for skill development.

As a cashier, you will be part of a team that values reliability and customer service. Training is provided, and candidates with experience at the register are encouraged to apply.

What might a typical day look like?

As a cashier, you will :

• punch and/or scan merchandise selected by the customer;
• ensure accuracy of prices punched/scanned and make cancellations according to established standards;
• handle cash and media (debit cards, cheques, etc.) and make deposits according to established policies;
• ensure the balance of the cash register and respect the productivity standards (sales/hours, punching/minute)
