Job summary

RXO, Inc. is seeking a Carrier Sales Specialist in Burnaby, BC. You will source, negotiate, and secure carriers to move freight efficiently, while working on pricing and capacity for specialized moves.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of transportation experience.
• 1 year of over-dimensional and heavy-haul load experience.
• 2 years of experience in sales or customer service.
• Experience exercising judgment and discretion; able to function independently within authorized limits.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and secure carriers to move available freight.
• Work on pricing and capacity for specialized moves.
• Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers to ensure high-quality freight movement.
• Inform all parties of route changes, delays, or issues as necessary.
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointment times, considering weather, traffic, miles, and service rules.
• Follow procedures regarding HVS and HRC loads to protect shipment integrity and RXO brand.
• Maintain and update information in the company’s operating systems.
• Research databases for potential leads; make cold calls to prospects.
• Track back-end billing and invoicing to ensure accurate carrier charges.
