Job summary

Bison Transport Inc. is seeking a Carrier Operations Specialist to oversee carrier productivity and service levels. The role focuses on reviewing KPIs, coordinating planning, and driving solutions with carriers and internal teams to keep equipment moving.

The ideal candidate will be organized, an excellent communicator, and able to prioritize fleet activities with urgency and precision. On-site work is required in Winnipeg or Mississauga.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in transportation, logistics, fleet management.
• Experience with carriers, dispatch or load planning is an asset.
• Strong leadership and mentoring ability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize under time pressure and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Maximize carrier utilization and productivity while supporting carrier success.
• Manage day-to-day carrier operations and resolve service issues quickly.
• Monitor truck availability and ensure capacity is fully leveraged.
• Identify capacity gaps and address them proactively.
• Collaborate with carriers and internal teams to minimize downtime.
