Job summary

On Side Restoration Services Ltd. is seeking experienced carpenters to contribute to rebuilding and restoration after disasters. The role relies on interior carpentry skills, drywall, painting, and finishes.

The team focuses on returning properties to pre-disaster condition while supporting affected families and businesses. The position involves a rotating after-hours on-call schedule, 24/7 coverage when needed, and opportunities for advancement within a values-driven company that puts customers

Qualifications

• 3+ years doing interior carpentry repairs/restoration.
• Refined skills with in-home renovation repairs/restoration (flood/fire).
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Tools and the skills to use them.
• Strong people and communication skills.
• Safety mindset.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check.
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Finishing work and fine details, rough and trim.
• Installation: doors, trim, moldings, baseboards and hardware.
• Repairs to wooden structures of all sorts.
• Drywall repairs, mudding, sanding, taping and finishing.
• Brush and roller painting (could include walls, ceilings, trim).
• Ceiling installation, knockdown and texturing.
• Insulation and vapour barrier installation.
• Cabinetry (removal, repair, reinstallation).
• Flooring installation and repairs.
• Framing.

Position Summary

Carpenters at On Side rebuild and restore damaged personal property anywhere and anytime a disaster strikes. With the goal of getting things back to a pre-disaster state Carpenters or Multi-Skilled Tradespeople use the skills of carpenters, drywallers and painters! If you’re passionate about helping people and skilled at making things right, this is your chance to make a real difference.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $30-$34/hour

What You’ll Do

• Attention to detail, passion for quality and pride in the work you do
• Tools and the skills to use them
• Strong people and communication skills
• A safety mindset
• Willingness to cross train into other departments (Contents, Water Damage, Emergency, Demolition)
• Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps and software)
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to pass a criminal record check
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken
