Job summary

On Side Restoration Services Ltd. is seeking a Water Damage Technician to respond to water-related incidents, remove water, and set up drying equipment. You will help restore homes and businesses to pre-disaster condition while delivering empathy and urgency to clients in stressful moments.

The role involves demolition, drying setup, and full restoration work, with on-call rotations. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hands-on experience in construction/restoration/general labour.
• Demolition, remediation, renovations and related maintenance are a strong asset.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new skills quickly.
• Detail-oriented, with good time management in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and initiative.
• Organized and tool-savvy; never lose track of equipment.
• Physically fit for lifting and navigating tight spaces during water damage tasks.
• Willingness to learn and be taught company procedures.
• Tech savviness to learn applications as required.
• Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record.
• Able to satisfy criminal record check requirements.
• Clear English communication skills.

Position Summary

When water strikes, we fight back!
At On Side, our Water Damage Technicians are the calm in the storm—literally. From burst pipes to sewer surprises, you’ll be the first responder who turns chaos into clean, dry order.

You’ll work hands‑on to remove water, set up drying equipment, and help restore homes and businesses to their pre-disaster state. Empathy and urgency are key, you’re not just fixing spaces, you’re helping people through one of their most stressful moments.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $21-$25/hour

What You’ll Do

• Perform demolition of affected structures and materials

What You Bring

• 1+ year of experience in construction, restoration, general labour, or a related hands‑on field


• Experience with demolition, remediation, renovations, property or hotel maintenance is considered a strong asset


• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new skills and procedures


• Detail‑oriented, curious and able to manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment


• Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic who takes initiative and gets the job done


• Organized with a good sense of time— you’re rarely late and know where all your tools are


• Physically fit— water damage can, at times, include heavy lifting and getting into (and out of) tight places


• Positive attitude and willingness to learn—we’re prepared to teach the right candidate everything they need to succeed


• Tech savviness (capability to learn applications and computer programs as required)

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on‑call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after‑hours on‑call schedule.
