Job summary

On Side Restoration Services Ltd. is seeking skilled carpenters to rebuild and restore damaged property across Alberta. The role focuses on finishing, installation, repairs, and painting to return spaces to pre-disaster condition.

Candidates bring restoration expertise, attention to detail, and strong communication. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a criminal record check are required; English proficiency is essential.

• Refined skills with various in-home renovation repairs/restoration vs new build.
• Restoration/rebuild focus (flood/fire damage).
• Attention to detail, passion for quality and pride in the work you do.
• Tools and the skills to use them.
• Strong people and communication skills.
• A safety mindset.
• Willingness to cross train into other departments.
• Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps and software).
• Valid drivers license; Ability to pass a criminal record check.
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Finishing work and fine details, rough and trim.
• Installation, doors, trim, moldings, baseboards and hardware.
• Repairs to wooden structures of all sorts.
• Drywall repairs, mudding, sanding, taping and finishing.
• Brush and roller painting (could include walls, ceilings, trim).
• Ceiling installation, knockdown and texturing.
• Insulation and vapour barrier installation.
• Cabinetry (removal, repair, reinstallation).
• Flooring installation and repairs.
• Framing.

Position Summary

Carpenters at On Side rebuild and restore damaged personal property anywhere and anytime a disaster strikes. With the goal of getting things back to a pre-disaster state Carpenters or Multi-Skilled Tradespeople use the skills of carpenters, drywallers and painters! If you’re passionate about helping people and skilled at making things right, this is your chance to make a real difference.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $26-$30/hour
• Overtime opportunities (where applicable)
