• Prepare layouts compliant with building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, steel and related materials.
• Install trim items such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware.
• Support drywall, painting, interior systems and finish carpentry as assets.

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking Journeyperson Carpenters for work in Tuktoyaktuk, NT.

• Schedule Rotation: 14 days on 7 days off 12 hours per day
• Wage: $ 50.88 (As Per Collective Agreement)
• Accommodations: Camp
• Travel: Provided from Edmonton, AB
• Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement

What You Will Be Working On

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements for modular trailer complex renovations
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and/or other materials
• Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware.
• Ability to install and finish drywall, painting, interior systems, T-bar ceilings and finish carpentry are all assets for this position

What We Are Looking For

• Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
• The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
