Job summary

ELITE CASTLE CONSTRUCTION LTD in Calgary is seeking a Carpenter, Framing to work on site. You will read blueprints, measure, cut and assemble wood and other materials to build foundations, walls and roof systems.

This permanent, full-time role offers 30 hours per week at $38.00 per hour, starts as soon as possible, with 2 vacancies. Requires college certificate in Carpentry (1–2 years) and 1 to less than 7 months of experience; English language proficiency essential.

Qualifications

• College-level carpentry certificate or diploma (1–2 years).
• Experience reading blueprints and drawings.
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
