Job summary

Platinum Living Homes Ltd. seeks a skilled carpenter to work on road projects and residential builds around Edmonton. You will read plans, lay out work, cut and assemble wood and other materials, and install doors, windows and stairs according to codes.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of experience, be able to travel to job sites, and perform rigorous carpentry tasks from foundations to finishes with safety and quality in mind.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts per building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
