Tie Up Construction Ltd is seeking a framer-carpenter for on-site work in Surrey, BC. The role involves preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and other materials, and coordinating site activities.
Ideal candidates will have a secondary school graduation certificate and 3–5 years of experience. Responsibilities include building foundations, installing floor beams, and fitting windows, doors, and hardware on-site.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Estimate costs and materials. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Personal suitability: Accurate.
