Job summary

SNL Techlink is seeking an on-site carpenter with 1–2 years of experience to join our Canadian operations in Ontario. The role involves reading blueprints, cutting and assembling wood and steel components, and installing foundations, walls, and fixtures at renovation and construction sites.

Applicants should have a secondary school graduation certificate and be able to work on site. The work environment is noisy and dusty, with travel via public transit available.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures.
