Responsibilities

• Frame walls, floors, and roofs.
• Install windows, doors, siding, trim, and other finish carpentry components.
• Complete renovations and residential construction projects.
• Read and follow blueprints and project drawings.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Assist with material handling, site preparation, and general labour duties as required.
• Work alongside other trades to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work site.

SCHEDULE

• Monday to Friday
• 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• 30-minute paid lunch

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Frame walls, floors, and roofs
• Install windows, doors, siding, trim, and other finish carpentry components
• Complete renovations and residential construction projects
• Read and follow blueprints and project drawings
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Assist with material handling, site preparation, and general labour duties as required
• Work alongside other trades to complete projects on schedule
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work site

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of residential carpentry or construction experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of framing and general residential construction
• Comfortable working with hand and power tools
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
• Comfortable working at heights when required
• Reliable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable vehicle and proof of insurance
• Must supply basic hand tools, including: Hammer Measuring tape Utility knife Standard carpentry hand tools
• Steel-toe boots, hard hat, safety vest, and appropriate work clothing

ASSETS

• Blueprint reading experience
• Fall Protection certification
• WHMIS and Occupational Health & Safety training
• Construction-related certifications
• Red Seal certification is considered an asset but is not required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Active residential construction sites throughout the St. John's area
• Heavy lifting, standing, bending, and repetitive movements
• Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Safe, team-oriented work environment with experienced supervision
