Job summary

Binder Construction is seeking a skilled carpenter to work on various locations in Brampton, ON. You will read blueprints, prepare layouts, measure and cut materials, and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware on outdoor construction sites.

The role requires 1–2 years of carpentry experience and a college certificate in carpentry. Expect early mornings, weekends, and travel to different sites with benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of carpentry experience required.
• English language required.
• Education: college certificate in carpentry as described.
• Ability to read blueprints and sketches.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites.
