Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is hiring a Server to join our bright dining room in a Canadian retirement residence. You will help with dining room setup, serve residents and guests, and participate in all aspects of dining service, including cleaning and tray delivery.

Previous food service experience and a passion for working with seniors are valued. The role requires physical ability to lift items and stand for long periods; VPS screening may be required on hire.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service skills.
• Experience in food service is preferred, especially with seniors.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand for extended periods.
• Bilingual ability is an asset.
• Vulnerable Position Screening required or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• To serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• To set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• To assist with cleaning of dishware and maintaining dining area.
• To assist with catering and participate in special events and theme occasions.
• To participate in staff trainings and follow health and safety procedures.
• To uphold the organization’s values and policies.
