Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is hiring a Server to join our dining room team. You will help with meal service, tray delivery, and maintaining a welcoming dining environment for residents and guests.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong customer service, and adherence to health and safety guidelines. Prior experience with seniors and a second language are assets; VPS screening is required or obtainable on hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service industry and working with seniors is preferred.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand/walk for the majority of shift.
• Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
• Current (within 6 months) VPS/Background screening or willingness to obtain one upon hire.

Responsibilities

• To serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• To set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• To assist with cleaning of dishware and maintaining dining area and kitchen cleanliness.
• To assist with catering and participate in special occasions and theme events.
• To orient and train new culinary staff and ensure health and safety compliance.
• To participate in staff meetings and the organization’s Quality Improvement Program.
