Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is hiring a Server to work in the dining room at one of our retirement residences in Ontario. The role involves set-up, serving and clean-up as part of the dining services team, and supporting residents with meals in a respectful and friendly environment.

We value customer service, reliability and the ability to work with seniors. Applicants should be able to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and may be asked to support during events and activities in the residence.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service preferred.
• Ability to lift and transfer heavy items.
• Second language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and kitchen areas after service.
• Help maintain cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas.
• Assist with catering and participate in special events and theme meals.
• Support orientation and training of new culinary staff.
• Follow health and safety regulations and department policies.
• Respect Resident Rights & Responsibilities and uphold ethics and integrity.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
