Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Services is hiring urgently for a Mandarin or Cantonese speaking caregiver to support clients in Vaughan and Richmond Hill. The role encompasses in-home care, meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship, and personal care, with flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, and overnights.

Qualifying candidates have at least 1 year of caregiving experience, a PSW/DSW/HCA certificate, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel to client homes across Vaughan

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience.
• Must have a PSW/DSW/HCA certificate or foreign-trained nurse equivalent.
• Must have a car to travel to clients' homes in Vaughan/Richmond Hill.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship and personal care.
• Help clients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Follow care plans and ensure client safety during transfers and in-home care.
• Complete records and documentation accurately.

What We Offer

Urgent hiring - need Mandarin or Cantonese Speaking Caregiver.

• $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

• Flexible Schedules and Minimum visits for 3 hours.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care
• Happier Aging is at the heart if what we do - enabling seniors to live at home as long as possible, doing what they love to do.
• Execute on the client's care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Help clients with their ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) that is within the scope of practice for a Registered Health Care Aide.
• Assist clients with transfers, ambulation and exercise.
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Service the Richmond hill and Vaughan area
• Looking for flexible availability ( mornings, evenings and overnights) however must be available for at least 20 hrs per week which should include atleast 1 day weekend.

Requirements

• 1 year previous caregiving experience
• Has worked with dementia clients.
• Must have a valid certificate for PSW, DSW, HCA or foreign trained nurse
• Must have a car to travel independently to clients home anywhere in Vaughan and Richmond hill
• Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search (updated every 5 years for continued employment)
• Negative TB test (updated every 5 years for continued employment)
• Fully Vaccinated against Covid-19
• 2 Professional references
• CPR certification
• Must be able to speak and write in English. Italian is an asset.
• Have a valid SIN and eligibility to work in Canada.
