Job summary

Winchesters, a Canadian private equity real estate investment firm, seeks an Associate, Capital Markets in Toronto to own MBS administration and monitor a portfolio of CMHC-insured multifamily mortgages within a tight-knit team.

Open to candidates from real estate or financial services. CMHC NHA MBS or MortgageHub experience is a plus; strong MS Office skills and sharp analytical abilities are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within real estate or financial services.
• Experience with the CMHC NHA MBS Program and MortgageHub is preferred.
• Experience with securitization is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation, administration, and reporting of multifamily NHA MBS pools from issuance through maturity, including submitting required forms and documentation to CMHC, CPTA, and investors on a timely basis
• Prepare and reconcile daily, monthly, and pool-level investor remittances against the NHA MBS Guide's requirements, prepare associated wire remittances, and track cash balances to ensure sufficient funds
• Work with internal teams to proactively address missed payments and monitor compliance with NHA MBS & MLI Select requirements impacting securitization
• Respond to audit requests from internal and external auditors, and support preparation of the annual Agreed-Upon Procedures Report
• Complete special ad hoc projects as required, including process-improvement initiatives, leveraging AI and other tools to improve efficiencies
