Job summary

Canna Cabana is seeking a Shift Leader to support store management in daily operations and to act as the sales and service leader in the absence of higher-level management. The role requires guiding staff, meeting store KPIs, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and cannabis regulations.

The ideal candidate has CannSell, strong retail experience, and excellent communication and leadership skills. Flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, are required to support a growing chain.

Qualifications

• Must have CannSell certification to work in a cannabis retail store.
• Must have or be able to complete a Police Background Check.
• Demonstrated sales and service orientation required.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in the retail industry; cannabis industry preferred.
• First Aid certification is an asset.
• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff.
• Ability to monitor and lead by example.
• Basic office administration skills.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to store management in supervising daily store operations.
• Oversee Store Manager responsibilities in absence of SM/ASM.
• Assist in personnel management on shift and resolve customer service issues.
• Provide direction and instruction to store associates.
• Ensure store conditions meet established standards.
• Assist in staffing level planning when requested.
• Be the sales and customer service leader in SM/ASM absence.
• Greet and assist customers, modeling exemplary conduct.
• Ensure health, safety, and security regulations are followed on shift.
• Achieve sales targets and store KPI’s.
• Ensure staff on shift pursue sales goals.
• Oversee inventory management and be accountable for on-shift inventory processes.
