Job summary

Canna Cabana in Sudbury, Ontario is seeking a Shift Leader to assist store management in daily operations and maintain high standards of customer service. You will lead staff on shift, ensure safety, and help meet sales targets in a fast-paced cannabis retail environment.

The role requires CannSell certification, 2+ years in retail, strong communication skills, and an ability to work varied shifts including weekends. Paul Street location offers opportunities for growth within High Tide Inc.

Qualifications

• CannSell certification required for cannabis retail.
• Police background check required or willing to obtain one.
• Demonstrated sales and service orientation required.
• Minimum 2 years in retail; cannabis industry preferred.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to train and motivate staff.
• Lead by example and monitor performance.
• Basic office administration and strong written/verbal communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Teamwork and strong customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Willing to work varied shifts including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to store management in supervising and facilitating daily operations.
• Oversee Store Manager responsibilities in their absence.
• Assist in personnel management during shifts and resolve customer issues.
• Guide and instruct store associates on duties and standards.
• Maintain store conditions to established standards.
• Ensure staffing levels meet business needs when requested.
• Serve as sales and customer service leader in SM/ASM absence.
• Greet and assist customers modeling exemplary conduct.
• Enforce company policies and safety regulations.
• Handle customer complaints and escalate as needed.
• Ensure health, safety and security regulations are followed.
• Work toward sales targets and KPIs at store level.
• Oversee inventory management and shift inventory processes.
