Qualifications

Juris Doctorate or LL.B. required and licensed in good standing.
Strong understanding of Canadian securities regulatory framework.
Experience advising investment management or funds on regulatory matters.
Experience drafting and negotiating investment management and fund documents.

Responsibilities

Provide legal and regulatory advice on securities law and compliance matters for Canadian business.
Support design and enhancement of compliance program with policies and controls.
Advise on regulatory developments and initiatives affecting the Canadian business.
Collaborate with regulators, auditors and internal stakeholders to strengthen framework.
Draft and negotiate investment management, distribution, and fund offering documents.
