Job summary

Sanofi in Toronto, ON is seeking an HSE Manager for Canada to lead health, safety, and environmental performance across Commercial Operations and Digital HUB environments. You will ensure compliance with federal and provincial HSE regulations and drive a proactive safety culture that prioritizes people and the environment.

Lead CEPA reporting, manage HSE governance and performance metrics, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Sciences, Engineering, or related field
• At least 3 years in an HSE leadership or management role
• Minimum 5–8 years of Progressive HSE experience
• Strong knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial HSE and environmental regulations
• Proven experience managing CEPA declarations, data submissions, and regulatory reporting

Responsibilities

• Strategy & Governance: develop and evolve the HSE strategy for Commercial Operations and Digital HUB; lead governance, reporting, and executive engagement
• Regulatory Compliance: ensure proactive compliance with Canadian federal/provincial HSE legislation, permits, licenses, and reporting
• CEPA Reporting & Database Ownership: own CEPA declarations and data submissions
• Environmental Compliance Management: manage waste, air emissions, water, hazardous materials, and sustainability reporting
• HSE Program Design: establish ergonomic, mental health, safety, and business continuity plans
• Safety Culture Leadership: lead Leading Safety initiatives and engagement
• Road Safety Program: develop and execute road safety programs for commercial fleet
• Risk Assessment & Incident Investigation: conduct risk assessments and root cause investigations
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: track KPIs and regulatory notifications
